The University English as a Second Language (UESL) Program at Central Washington University is a year-round intensive English program emphasizing personal attention in a safe, comfortable environment.
Teachers have master's degrees in teaching English as a second language and many years of teaching experience .
Interesting courses include, Volunteering in America , Travel USA, Computers, Speaking Workshop, Living in the USA, TOEFL Preparation , Business, and Creative Writing.
Conditional under graduate admission to CWU is arranged through the UESL Program. Students receive full admission by completing the highest UESL level and earning the program's recommendation instead of a TOEFL score.
Many opportunities for language development, recreation, and cultural experiences outside class: on-campus housing with American roommates, conversation partners, field trips
(skiing, snowboarding, river rafting, hiking, Seattle sightseeing); social activities, many computer labs, a gym, swimming pool, tennis courts, and student center.
The most popular of CWU 's 80 undergraduate majors are business, education, accounting, law & justice, psychology, flight technology, and music. In addition, graduate degrees are offered in 30 areas.
