Perth, Western Australia (WA), is a fantastic place to study with clean beaches, great weather and an affordable lifestyle. TAFE (Technical and Further Education) Western Australia is a network of Government colleges owned and operated by the Australian government. It is the largest and most widely recognised provider of tertiary and vocational training in WA. Each year, TAFE WA enrols international students from Europe, Africa, Asia and America, at our 44 campuses in WA.
TAFE WA has established the highest training standards. It is a member of English Australia (EA), the professional association of Centres teaching English language courses to overseas students in Australia. Moreover, all our English language courses are accredited by the National ELT Accreditation Scheme (NEAS) to ensure that students receive the highest standard of English language education.
TAFE WA has three English Language Centres located in or close to Perth where students can study English. These centres are conveniently located close to shops and easily accessible by public transport.
English Language Centre - Perth Campus
Perth Campus is located in the heart of Northbridge, Perth's cultural, restaurant and entertainment district, in a modern seven-storey building with views of the campus and city surroundings.
English Language Centre - Bentley Campus
Bentley campus is just 7 kms from Perth city and is directly opposite Curtin University. Set among beautiful pine trees and magnificent gardens, Bentley Campus is the perfect location for students to study and improve their English skills.
West Coast English Language Academy - City Campus
Situated in a high-rise office building, the West Coast Language Academy is surrounded by the excitement of international commerce with beautiful views across the sparkling blue waters of the Swan River.
TAFE WA offers a variety of Intensive English Language courses (25 hours per week) such as General English, Academic English, Preparation for Cambridge First and Advanced Certificates, International Business English.
After finishing these courses, students can enrol into a Certificate, Diploma or Advanced Diploma award courses. These courses can also provide entry into University Degree programs with up to 18 months exemptions depending on the chosen course. We have over 250 courses in different study areas such as Aeronautics, Agriculture, Art and Design, Business & Management, IT, Hospitality and Travel and Tourism to name a few.
All three campuses offer modern computers, free email and internet access, well-equipped classrooms, a learning resource centre and a social and recreational program. Friendly, dedicated staff will help students with course information, career advice, personal issues, visa enquiries, homestay accommodation and information on social and recreational activities. Teachers are highly qualified and committed to delivering quality English programs. The average maximum number of students in a class is 15.
